wido
I am a Dutch user of Accordance. There is only one Dutch bible module: Statenvertaling. This is a more than 350 years old translation. Could you please add a more recent Dutch bible, i.e. the Nieuw Bijbelvertaling (New Bible Translation) 2003, or the revised Statenvertaling (2011)? It would be very convenient and useful in my daily work as a minister in a Dutch church. I would be very grateful! HansK
Helemaal mee eens! I agree. Have 3 other Dutch translations as an user tool, but cannot share these. Hans
Ken Simpson
It helps I f you know the publisher, and if you know the source of an e-text. That's what the module dev team always want to know, plus some idea about how many users are interested. All helps to prioritise development and research time. Usually copyright discussions are very protracted....sadly. I am not on the development team, but I know you have more chance of something happening if you can find out this information. hmvanegdom
The publisher of the revised Statenvertaling is "Jongbloed"; http://www.jongbloed.com/index.php?lang=en
Steven van der Hoeven
For me it would be beneficial to have at least one Dutch Bible tagged with e.g. Strong numbers. Can be NBG'51, NBV or Statenvertaling. Importantia Publishing has an electronic version of Statenvertaling with Strongs numbers. Perhaps they are willing to distribute this text? http://www.importantia.com/contact_eng.html BibleWorks say they offer Dutch Statenvertaling with codes: http://www.bibleworks.com/content/full.html - Don't know from which publisher they got the text.
Helen Brown
Fabian added this comment as a report: Yes please more of Bibles with Strong's in other languages. Please make forward...Importantia has maybe the Strongs in Dutch. They has it in German. Arjo
I'm also curious for a younger Dutch translation. I would prefer the NBV, but NBG51 or HSV is also fine. The rights of the NBV and NBG51 belongs to the Nederlandse Bijbel Genootschap: info@bijbelgenootschap.nl. I'm not sure how much people are intrested in an other Dutch translation, but I know for sure that many user of Accordance don't use the Staten translation for Biblical research. I'm not going to use that translation anyway. An e-text is available at the Nederlandse Bijbelgenootschap and is also available in the store of OliveTree. Philip Arellond
Hello, I would definitely buy an Accordance module of the NBV (Nieuwe Bijbel Vertaling). Strong or no Strongs. I reeaaallly want this. Philip
Holland
Olive Tree is offering no less than eleven different Dutch bibles right now, including even the most recent ones! Accordance has been failing miserably for many years now with this archaic threehundred-something years old translation as the only native language bible for its users in the Netherlands. This makes me really really sad. Edited September 23, 2015 by Holland
Mark Allison
Thanks for the publishing information for the NBG Arjo! I have requested licensing terms from Nederlandse Bijbel Genootschap. I'll be glad to contact any other publishers of Dutch translations if any of our Dutch-speaking users can find that information. Arjo
That would be great Mark! I hope it is possible to implement the NBV and the NBG-51 as well. I hope I am not to bold to ask if it's also possible to at the Greek Lexicon of Murre:)
Arjo
Any news Mark from the NBG? I'm sorry if I seem a bit impatient, but I really look forward to this translation on accordance.
Rick Bennett
Any news Mark from the NBG? I'm sorry if I seem a bit impatient, but I really look forward to this translation on accordance. These things take time, so I would not expect any kind of imminent answer. We have found this is especially the case when working with Bible Societies. And even after agreeing to licensing terms, we then have to prioritize and place it in queue for development. Thanks for the feedback and request. ajmoraal
The NBV translation from NBG is probably the most used translation in the Netherlands today. It would be great to get this one in Accordance. The second one is probably the HSV translation. Contact information for this one is here: http://herzienestatenvertaling.nl/informatie/
gdogr
Hi, I have been in contacted with a person from the Dutch Bible Society, they say they have contacted Accordance a few times but have not received any answer. They would love to give a license to be used in Accordance for the NBV and the HSV. I have her contact information which I would love to pass on to you! It would be a great help for us to have some good dutch bible translations available in Accordance! Thanks!

Arjo
Can we have a status update about the NBV? I'm still hoping for a good Dutch translation in Accordance...
Timothy Jenney
We are in discussions with the Dutch Bible Society about both Nieuwe Bijbelvertaling and the Bijbel in Gewone Taal. They are currently updating their licensing agreement internally, so we must be patient while they do.

Holland
Hi Tim, I'm still looking forward very much to having a recent Dutch bible translation in Accordance. Is there any news from the Dutch Bible Society yet? Greetings!

Arjo
Hi Holland, I have mailed Nederlandse Bijbelgenootschap about this and after a while (2 weeks ago) I received this mail: Ik heb contact opgenomen met Accordance. I agree with you that they take there time, but hopefully there will be more Dutch translations soon... Greetings, Arjo
jaapcramer
I am curious whether the contracts are signed, that the above dutch text refers to, and whether the proces of putting it into a module has begun?
Arjo
I’m curious too! I’ve just send the NBG a mail to ask about the status. Hopefully there is some progress...
