Hello!

I would love to learn from experienced accordance users!

I just discovered the atlas function and how to do a 3d map, very helpful!

I am sure there are much more nice features, which I just do not know!

Are there ways e.g. to automaticlly mark the word "sin" in a chapter or to mark all the "Jesus'"...this would be awesome!

Do you have any other features that are maybe not the first you learned but are now very helpful for study the bible!

Would be great to share it here!

In terms of automatically marking particular words, see this section of the help file, on the highlight all hits feature:

https://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/14-macOS/index.htm#t=mac_14%2Fcontent%2Ftopics%2F05_dd%2Fhighlight_hit-words.htm&rhsearch=highlight all hits

Just for fun, I wanted to see which chapter in the NKJV uses the word "sin" the most. To do that, I search for the word "sin" and then selected "Table" from the analytics menu:

I also had to choose "Show Chapter Detail" from the Table options menu, as well as "Total Hits." Looks like it's used most often in Leviticus 4:

I wanted to highlight all the times "sin" appear in Leviticus 4, so I used the [Range] command:

Finally, to mark the hits, I selected "Highlight All Hits" from by right-clicking anywhere in the Text pane:

Fun stuff!

Yes, as long as the English text is tagged. You'll use the TEXT command. Highlighting the hits uses the same process as I've described above.

By the way, if you haven’t attended some of our webinars yet, they’re another great way to learn about Accordance. If there are other features of Accordance you’d like to see short training videos on, let us know. I plan to produce more training videos this year.

I also have the NA28 Greek NT...but I can't search in the ESV or NASB for imperatives...since they are not tagged...is there ar way to "transfer" it?

The ESVS is tagged, as well as the NAS95S.

You missed the second bracket. Copy and paste this:  *@ [GNT28-T  [VERB imperative] ]  <OR> *@ [HMT-W4  [VERB imperative] ]

Start with *@ and then press Ctrl+Shif+T. It opens this:

image.png.6a4d1b94deff399f39a2af0b5861dcaa.png

Now you can select the text you want, and use INSERT TEXT to find lexeme, and Tag for features like imperative verb, etc.

Click on the Search menu at the top, then hover over Enter Command....  Look through the list of commands that appear for TEXT (it will be near the bottom). You should see the keyboard shortcut  just to the right of it.  But you can also just do Search>Enter Command>TEXT to get the dialog box that Anonymous has shown you.
