Crash when checking for content updates

John Fidel

That happened with me on Windows 11. Try using 'Easy Install to get to updates. When I used 'Check for Contents updates' it crashed, but I was able to access updates via Easy Install. Don't know if it will work on MacOS, though.

This bug may be different from the similar one on Windows. As a final check before leaving it until a bug fix, try shutting down Accordance and restarting it before retrying Easy Install again.

Derek, can you not get to updates via 'Easy Install' on the menu? It might crash if you use 'Check for Contents updates', but it usually works by going to Easy Install to get to the updates. On Windows only. (Apparently, this doesn't work with the MacOS.) I was using Windows 11 and Accordance 14.0.2, but it should work with 13x

I don't know if there's value in "piling on", but I likewise have the same problem with checking "Content Updates". Log file contents are inserted below.

Well it is probably one of the peak seasons for sales for them, so many people are buying and then trying to download.

It's still getting rather discouraging.

I would not get discouraged. These things happen with upgrades and the get worked out. I was able to install the module by changing my privacy and security settings to "allow full access" for accordance and "allow applications to control other application" and I added Accordance

And the same here - early Sunday morning on the East Coast. I don't think this has to do with server load. Looks like there's a bug in the program. Hopefully it will get patched before too long.
