finding untagged hits

Is there a way to locate the untagged hits apart from by hand? I am dealing with needing to go through over 1300 hits to look for 5 runaway hits. 😕 I am hoping I don't need to do this by hand.

Thanks,

Kristin

I thought a combination of the TEXT command and negating the key number would work (it didn't), but this search found the missing verses:

Hi @Mark Allison,

For some reason it isn't working but I can't figure out what I am doing different from you. Is it clear to you?

(Btw, I think the warning box grays out my search too much so I will show you what it looks like if I close the box too)1226264056_Bildschirmfoto2022-02-01um10_41_39.thumb.png.313546c2436b257c03189160ed4ce9b6.png

Oh. I figured it out. I needed to put it the other way, so the Greek first, obviously. :)

Thanks, for the screenshot, @Mark Allison. Accordance is so much more powerful than I even know how to use, but I can normally follow pictures.

Hi @Mark Allison,

I am not sure if I should just respond here or create a new thread, but I have a similar question. I am looking in the Greek text for all instances of θεός where there is not an article, such as Ac 12:22. I figured I would search for ὁ θεός and then θεός and search for using the CONTENTS and subtract the two, but that didn't work. So I decided to just do a WITHIN command so the article is not within 1 word of θεός, yet the article right next to it is appearing. Any ideas?1308224828_Bildschirmfoto2022-02-01um11_22_43.png.a906169c23445cf5ea9e55244ef0c8e3.png

You're almost there, you just need to specify word order. Try this:

θεός <NOT> <PRECEDED BY> <WITHIN 1 Words> ὁ

Hi @Mark Allison, I came upon this and did some interesting research based on it. Thanks! Just to be a little more precise, the search should take into account the presence of particles such as δέ, etc. So I bumped up the "within" specification to 4 words. With that specification, I didn't find any false positives.

It brought up another question, somewhat different from Kristen's. Realizing that with prepositions (ἐκ, ἀπό, etc.), the article is often dropped (e.g., ἀπὸ θεοῦ), how could I combine your search with an exclusion clause that allows me to filter out the anarthrous uses of θἐος before a preposition? Thanks for any help you can give me one this! I'm not too comfortable with "not" commands.
