Accidental pasting into search bar and search all

If the cursor is in the main search bar, the selecting the search all bar using Ctrl+CMD+F and pasting a previously copied word results in that word being pasted into the both the search all bar and the main search bar. This does not happen if the cursor is anywhere else (e.g. click in the open text pane) prior to hitting the keyboard shortcut.
