Ken Simpson
Using Accordance 9.6.4, when I create a user note (CMD-U) and i type in a note, when I click "update", Accordance just silently quits. THis would be great to confirm/fix as I need the notes to be working for next Tuesday! Thanks
Randy Cue
Sorry to hear of your problem, Ken. I am not having that problem. User notes are working fine for me. Soli Deo Gloria, Randy

Helen Brown
Have you tried with a new clean set of notes? If that works, you could merger your existing Notes file into it. Maybe it's corrupt, though Accordance is supposed to fix many such errors. If it is the file, please send it to us to look at.
Ken Simpson
Hi Helen, yes I tried with a brand new notes file. Same result. Permissions seem OK. The file is being created in ~/Documents/Accordance Files/User Notes The new file is only 40 bytes long though. Which seems too small to me. Interestingly, the Sample Notes file, that I originally tried to modify wasn't touched. The mod date is the same. Accordance also isn't "seeing" the other notes files in the folder - only the Sample notes and the new notes file I created. I'll poke around a bit more to see if I can work it out. I rarely use notes myself, but I know I will have to demo them.
Ken Simpson
OK - I have worked it out now. Accordance really doesn't like using symlinks for its required folders. As soon as I put my documents/Accordance folder off my symlinked drive and onto the main SSD, it worked just fine. I don't really understand why Accordance is so fussy about this. Nearly everything else works just fine with symlinks... Anyway, issue solved (at the moment!) Thanks everyone.
