Robb B
I'm studying a passage, and usually when I study a passage I just use the "Go To" command to navigate there and leave * in the search criteria. This creates a problem when I want to list the text differences for just the verse or verses I'm studying. When I tell my iBook to list the differences it begins with Genesis/Matthew depending on what text I'm using as my search text! Is there a way to select just the verses I want a list of differences for?
jpkang
Compare Texts compares everything in the current range (by default [All text] under More options), so the only way I can think of to constrain the comparison is to use the following command when you're in Words search mode (but then you can't jump to other verses without modifying or resetting the range): [RANGE your desired verse(s)] Shortcut: [RANGE] can be inserted with command-shift-r (so simple, so logical, so powerful... and so addictive!) [edited per Helen's comment below--I don't know what I was thinking!]
Helen Brown
No need to use * , simply use the Range command unless you want to analyse every word in the range in the Details>Analysis.
