Unable to minimize window after maximizing

I have a rather narrow tool window on the right of my text window. Usually I have several tabs open in that window, say BDB, HALOT, Greek Keys, Timeline sampler, and so on. I've noticed that when I click on the "+" to maximize this narrow window such that it takes up the whole workspace window, I cannot minimize it again with the "-" button. It says something like it is too narrow. And since the last tab has no "x" to close the tab, I am basically stuck with having to close that entire workspace and start anew.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
