zone/screen refresh problem

I am using 9.1 on a mackbook w 2g intel and 2g ddr3 and am having screen refresh problems in one of my zones. The pictures will tell the story. On the far righthand zone you will notice an lxx tab and an mt-lxx parallel tab. When switching to the lxx tab you'll notice that the text selection box, the words/verses toggle box and the recycle toggle are in a wrong position. This problem only happens in this zone and is quite consistent. I was having a similar problem with 9.5 or .7 where, when two text panes were open in a tab, closing a pane left a dead space where the pane used to be. The only solution was closing and reopening the tab/workspace. Same here; closing and reopening the tab/workspace solves the issue. I can't believe that the problem is my system considering I've never had this problem with any other program.
