Check for updates gets stuck

Check for updates get stuck with the progress bar about 3/5 of the way across with 9.0.5.

Clicking on Stop has no effect, I have to force-quit and restart the app.

 

Easy install appears to work just fine.

I tryed repairing disk permissions and really don't work, since 9.0.5 too

Problem persists with 9.0.6.

As posted in another thread this afternoon:

We have just tracked this down:

There is a bug in 9.0.x when installing the syntax files via Easy Install. The fix didn't make it into 9.0.6, unfortunately. But, here is the workaround/fix:

1) Quit Accordance

2) Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/ and remove com.oaktree.accordance.mod.txt

3) Navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences/ and remove 'Syntax Files'

4) Navigate to /Library/Application Support/Accordance/Accordance Preferences/ and remove 'Syntax Files'.

Then, reopen Accordance and try to access the syntax. You will be asked for the syntax unlocking code, which you should enter correctly. At this point, Check for Updates *should* be fixed.

 

This fix is for those users for whom Check for Updates stalls half way across the progress bar. Please try this and report back.

This does not fix the issue for me. Check Updates still gets stuck.

If you mean "Grammatical Syntax add-on to GNT-T" and "Grammatical Syntax add-on to BHS-W4" then I don't have those modules.

 

Removing the said files doesn't work.

We've made some changes on the server side that seemed to be causing problems. For those that had Check for Updates hanging, does it still hang?

It works well now, both Check for Updates and Easy Install.
