Keith G
Hi, I need some help. I installed Accordance 8 about one week ago. It has been running fine, and I am slowly learning how to use it. Yesterday I clicked on the program, it opened, showed me the workspace, and and then closed. I re-opened it, it quit again. It consistently closes itself within 4 seconds each time I've opened it since. I don't search or type or anything, and it still quits. I'm assuming I should delete and re-install, but I wondered if this is a known bug in A8 or if anyone else has experience with this. I'm running OS 10.4 on a macbook with a 2 Ghx Intel Core 2 Duo. Thanks,
Helen Brown
There is no need to remove and reinstall the entire program. The most likely culprit is the Startup session file which you can safely remove from user/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences. If not that, then another settings file. It would be best to call us for tech support like this: 407-339-0266.
Greg Fetzer
I was experiencing the same thing on my new Macbook after I copied my preferences and notes from my iMac. After I deleted the files and let Accordance recreate them, things worked again - but, I still want to copy my notes over. Help!
Keith G
Helen: I found that file, and deleted it. When I started the program, it quit again. When I recovered that file, and clicked it (the startup session file) the program opened and runs fine. Ideas? Keith There is no need to remove and reinstall the entire program. Helen Brown
Strange, but if it is working for you now, no worries, mate.

Helen Brown
The Notes files (since version 7.0) are saved in user/Documents/Accordance files/User Notes.
Greg Fetzer
The Notes files (since version 7.0) are saved in user/Documents/Accordance files/User Notes. But when I copy them over, the software only recognizes the file entitled "My Notes".
Helen Brown
You can double-click the file to open it, or use File: Open in Accordance, or Add Modules at the bottom of the Library window.
Keith G
Yes, its working, but it isn't really right. What were the other settings your referenced? Keith Strange, but if it is working for you now, no worries, mate.
Helen Brown
This is a very clumsy way to get tech support for what seems to be an issue on your Mac only. Please contact us and let us talk or screenshare to find a solution. However, another user had a similar problem last night, and we haven't tracked it down yet. I will report back if we find that it is something in Accordance.
Helen Brown
There was a temporary problem, now corrected, which caused Accordance 8.1 to crash when checking for updates. Please, though, upgrade your Accordance to the latest version before posting a report of a crash or other bug. I just checked, and this was the issue that caused Keith G's Accordance to crash.
