Moving reference tool pane to its own tab

I don't think this is possible, but perhaps I am incorrect. I know I can detach tabs, but can I actually get accordance to take a pane and open it up in its own tab?

 

If not, I'll move this to the feature requests section. Besides it being a great menu item, being able to drag and drop the pane into the tabs section to open it as a tab would be great too! And very important would be that the pane opens up AT THE SAME spot in the tab.

No, not at all. Usually I have an NT window open with several commentary panes at the bottom. Often, I want to look in more detail at the commentary and would like a quick and easy way to make one of those commentary panes into a tab of its own.

OK, I think I understand what you're asking for, but what does "And very important would be that the pane opens up AT THE SAME spot in the tab" mean? Presumably the module in the parallel pane would become a full-sized window tab (i.e., with the pane "recycled" into an independent tab).

If I'm reading the commentary in Matt 1:1 and want to move the pane to its own tab, I would like the new tab to open on the matt 1:1 section, not the beginning of the entire module. Probably obvious, but worth mentioning :-)

Danny, at one time we had the ability to move a pane to a tab on our list, but I believe we dropped it for some reason. Perhaps you can get it back on the list.

 

In the meantime, just select the verse reference Matthew 1:1 in one of your Bible panes and amplify to the commentary. That should open it to the same place. Another option would be to select a phrase in the commentary pane and amplify to the commentary. Again, that should open the commentary to the same place (provided you select a unique phrase).
