Would be fun to compare other translations, read it in the Greek, and hear some observations from people's research in Accordance on it: John 1:5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Perhaps this quote by Chris Tomlin summarizes it well: "Do you know that all the dark won’t stop the light from getting through?"
