blgriffin83
I know I have some powerful tools in Accordance that I haven't fully learned how to utilize. What I'm wanting to start learning is the verb patterns (binyanim) based on the texts I'm reading. So for example in Lev 1:1, the word וַיִּקְרָ֖א. How can I use Accordance to see what verb pattern this is? I mean I recognize that is is a vayiktol but is it a piel, paal etc. I'm still very new to verb patterns so not even sure if my question is worded right. I have v14, HMT-W4, HALOT I've attached an image of the Word Study panel and my Instant Details Edited February 5 by blgriffin83
Dr. Nathan Parker
It looks like it's in your Instant Details. In this case, it says "Verb qal", so it's a qal stem.
blgriffin83
Ah ok. Yea that shows how much I know about verb forms. I didn't even know qal was a verb form. lol. As an additional question, is there a way to get the following interlinear (image attached) to show the English underneath? When I have it set to the English translation as the source, it orders it in the English order. I'd like to read it as it appears in the Hebrew but with the English translation under each word. Ken Simpson
Hi, welcome to Accordance! Yes, you can just add "gloss" to the interlinear or the translation you wish to use
