jkdoyle Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 What do I have to enter into the search pane to search for constructs like למה ("why")? I know it is probably simple, but I can't seem to make it work.
RobM Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 What do I have to enter into the search pane to search for constructs like למה ("why")? I know it is probably simple, but I can't seem to make it work. All you gotta do is put a space between the lamed and the ma (ל מה). I got 183 hits.
jpkang Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 More generally, from the Help: Clicking on the [search] button [on the Resource Palette; see the Window menu] or choosing Search enables you quickly to search for any words you have selected in a Bible text pane. A new Search window appears with the same panes as the original window. The selected words are automatically entered in the argument entry box, the search is performed, and the results are displayed in the text pane. You can also run this search on a selection by using the keyboard shortcut cmd-shift-f. For example, if you select "מהארץ" (the last word in 1 Sam 28:3 BHS-W4) and then click search, a new BHS-W4 window will open with "=מִן =הַ =אֶרֶץ" automatically populated in the search box.
