Strange behavior when hiding Accordance on iPad with keyboard

I have a keyboard attached to my iPad. When I hide the release version of Accordance (using the Apple keyboard and Command-H) and then return to it, it takes me to a completely different location in a completely different book of the Bible. Has anyone experienced this? 

 

To be specific, I had Obadiah 1 (CSB) in the left pane and NIVAC-OT in the right pane. I disconnected the panes and went to the Introduction to Obadiah—>Obadiah the Person, and then hid Accordance, opened Safari, and then used command-tab to return to Accordance.
