strange symbols in accordance 13.3.4 running in MacOS Monterrey 12.5.1

Hello, 

 

I have this annoying symbol "¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶" showing up in all my texts. I have already tried starting accordance in safe mode and cleaning. Not sure what to do anymore.

The pilcrow marks paragraphs and is part of the text. If you do not like seeing the pilcrows, set your display to paragraph rather than separate verses.
