Reading Mode possible bug

Can not change the background color in Reading Mode.

Not working with Apple M1 Mac Mini OS Ventura 13.2.1

Accordance Version 14.0.4

Is this broken or a bug?

I'm trying to duplicate this. Where are you going to change the background color in reading mode? Under Set Text Pane Display?

Yes I go to bible text pane click on Gear > Enter Reading Mode click on Gear in Reading Mode > Set Text Pane Display > Theme > Slate color.

Hit OK then Reading Mode window disappears and no color change. Gone

It changes the bible text pane only. Am I doing something wrong with these settings.

Is this a bug? Should I send a bug report?

A new observation.

I noticed something when this happened. I had in Preferences > Reading/Research > Reading Mode > Use Readability theme selected. 

I went back and unchecked Use Readability theme and now it works. Able to select colors

Try this and see if you get the same results. Which one is correct?  Confused.

Is it still a bug?

Thanks for the followup! It seems “Readability Theme” is its own theme that overrides custom themes when it’s checked. I’m showing it to our teams to see if it’s really a bug or not. It looks more to be a personal preference. With it unchecked, you can use custom themes. With it checked, it’s a special theme for reading mode.
