Hightlight in Imported PDF

I've noticed that I cannot highlight in a PDF I import. Am I just missing something? That seems like a simple function.

Highlighting is not supported in User Tools. You have to convert the User Tool to a standard Tool before you can highlight it. The reason for this limitation is probably that User Tools can be edited. Modifying them could change the location of the text that was highlighted so that the offsets in the highlighting file would not match its location, and the wrong text would get the highlight.
