Highlighter Pen Bugs

I'm really hoping for some improvements on the highlighter pen, particularly functionality associated with connecting two works together.

 

It is (more often than not) that the trailing end of the line connecting the two words jumps off into the wrong place. I would say that this normally does not work.

In this example, I attempted to connect "older" men with "older" women.
