Sam Freney Posted March 30, 2022 Share Posted March 30, 2022 I have a Bible for an Australian indigenous language, and the import is consistently putting a space before all ' characters. E.g. the import says this: Matt. 1:2 ¶ Yo, ŋunhi Yipurayimdja bäpa'mirriŋu Yitjakku-na, But the fourth word is coming out in the text as bäpa_'mirriŋu (the space marked here with an underscore). Which ain't right. In this language (and others!) this mark is a glottal stop, and an important part of spelling. Any good ideas for making it not do this?
