Creating custom timeline in the new enhanced Timeline - changing 4000 BC maximum start date

I was attempting to create a custom list using the Define User Items option in the new Timeline module and realized that my initial date for an item was limited to 4000 BC exactly.  Is there a way to adjust the 4000 BC date limit so I can create items with older start dates?  Example, I wanted to use a start date for Creation/Adam of 4166 BC.  Thanks for any help.
