Insert commands at cursor location

Hopefully, this is an easy fix. On macOS, if I select a search command, it is inserted in the search field at the cursor location, but on iOS, it is inserted at the end of the search field. I often search for two words, and then, unsatisfied with the results, want to insert a connecting command between them. This is harder to do when commands are added to the end of the search field. So please insert them at the cursor location.
