Diagrams Question

Is there a reason that infinitive clauses in the NT diagrams resource are sometimes diagrammed with the shelf above the main verb line (Eph 4:3) and sometimes with the shelf below the main verb line (Eph 4:1)? Is this a matter of preference, a decision based on space needs, or is there a grammatical significance to whether the infinitive is placed above or below the main verb shelf? Thanks for any insight.
