Text Command - Wow!

Hi Joel,

I’m one of those scholars you mentioned who don’t have time to learn how to enter complicated search queries. I didn’t even know there was a Text Command, or that Text in the Construct Search opened it up. Thank you very much for showing us how to use it. I will definitely use it from now on.

Regards,

Michel

Thanks for coming to the session!  Ever since we first introduced the TEXT command I've been excited to see where scholars take it.  I'm glad I was able to present it in a way that hopefully helps inspire new areas of research.

Are you referring to a video online?

Hi Hans,

I was referring to the session at the Society of Biblical Literature’s Annual Meeting, “Linguistics and Biblical Hebrew / Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible,” during which Joel presented, “Bridging the Hebrew/Greek Divide: New Possibilities with the CATSS Database in Accordance,” and in which he presented the Text Command. If I’m correct, Joel will be making it available soon at https://www.gotostage.com/channel/2b99bda9c3ed4b7382a55737a7d54b46 .

Michel

Edit: Joel’s post beat mine by a few seconds and cleared things up. I look forward to watching his new presentation too.

Thanks Joel and Michel. Thanks! I registered.

In this regard I found this video by David Lang also helpful:
