mgvh
I was under the impression that a Flex search on an English text (e.g., NRSV) picked up related forms. I just did a Flex search for "know," and it picks up: know, knew, known, knowing, knows. It does not pick up any words like: knowledge, unknown, etc. Is there any explanation or list that accounts for which words get related in a Flex search. (I do realize that the root search in Greek or Hebrew is more powerful, but I was trying to find a verse that I only partially remember in English, and I was having trouble finding it with an English flex search because it used "knowledge" instead of a form of "know.") Helen Brown
You could have used know* or *kn?w*. The related forms are from another database which is necessarily limited, mainly to the verb forms and singular/plural.
