YingLam Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hi, New Revised Standard Version with Apocrypha and New Jerusalem Bible with Deuterocanonicals In terms of the books included in the Bible, do these 2 Bible versions contain the same catalog? It seems to me that they both contain the Catholic endorsed Apocrypha/ Deuterocanonicals. But some said that the NRSV has more concerning the booked accepted only by Orthodox. YingLam
Helen Brown Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 The NRSV places these books between the Old and New Testaments: Tobit Judith Wisdom Sirach Baruch 1Maccabees 2Maccabees 1Esdras Manasseh 3Maccabees 2Esdras 4Maccabees The NAB includes these books, scattered between the OT books, so yes, it has many fewer: Tobit Judith 1Maccabees 2Maccabees Wisdom Sirach Baruch
