TYA
This isn't technically a "bug," but this (verse slider demonstration), along with other manifestations of lag / delay, is very annoying to me. I will greatly appreciate anything that can be done to improve the speed of Accordance. Please see attached, and thanks all.
Donald Cobb
There is a workaround. I don't know if this works as well on Windows as on Mac, but try putting the cursor in the space between the slide button and the full range, at the full end, and click. That should take it to full context without any delay. You can also place the cursor in other places for less context.
TYA
try putting the cursor in the space between the slide button and the full range, at the full end, and click. Thanks for the idea, Donald. I just tried this, placing my cursor at the far right side (where I wanted it to go), and then clicking and holding the mouse there. It took eight seconds for the cursor to work its way on over to the right side. By way of contrast, when I tried the "conventional" method of clicking and dragging the cursor over, it took four mouse clicks to actually grab the cursor and begin moving. So that took about 5 seconds too. I've shared with Accordance in private, and I will reiterate it here, that the degree of lag seems to be in proportion to the number of texts that I have open--whether native Accordance texts, or also user-created ones. (It isn't only my User Bibles.) But even with just one single text open, there still is lag compared to other Bible software's I have. So no matter what, Accordance definitely has lag, which I don't like. It is exacerbated when I have the Text Browser open, which I *always* do. So that took about 5 seconds too. That's definitely a problem. I haven't experienced that kind of behavior. I've especially noticed a little sluggishness when I have a text linked to other panes. To a lesser degree the info pane slows things down a little sometimes when changing verses.
