Search functions in Accordance

Hi,

I'm fairly new to Accordance. Switching from Bibleworks, I feel a bit challenged to do some of the search functions that were so handy in BW. For e.g, I'm looking for search functions with Greek constructions

I was reading Jude 1:1.... "Kept for Jesus".

kept  G5083  τηρέω  tēreō

[GNT28-T] τετηρημένοις tetērēmenois  Verb perf mid part masc plur dat  to keep, to guard

How would I search for any word that is a Perfect Tense and in a Middle voice?

Thanks in advance

David

Hi David,

In a search tab for a tagged Greek text - NA28 Greek NT for example,

    *@[verb perfect middle]

Thx

You could just right-click on the word and select Search For—>Tag. Of course that will give you more than you want. You could simply delete the items you don't need and re-run the search.

Or, from the menu bar, select Search—>Enter Tag—>Verb and choose "Perfect" from the "Tense" options and "Middle" from the "Voice" options.

Daniel's manual entry option is good. Just note that you don't really need the asterisk or the "@" sign. Typing in [verb perfect middle] is fine.
