Crash deleting ANYSYNTAX Predicate element from a search

Hi,

 

  Acc 12.3.2.

  Mac 10.11.6

 

  Construct a search like this :

 

 

  Select the right hand ANYSYNTAX Predicate "Predicate". Don't select the whole element, just this word.

  Then select the whole element

  Now hit delete key.

 

  You should get this crash below. If you don't first select the word "Predicate" you can delete the element just fine, but you'll get a crash doing it this way.

I'm still not able to reproduce this.  Are you selecting the entire word "Predicate", or just part?  Does it seem to be de-selecting when you select the whole element?

Ok, so that was unexpected. I tried selecting the text Predicate in the ANYSYNTAX element and it worked. I hit delete and it removed the text and left a cursor to type the info. I added it back by double clicking on the ANYSYTANX element and manually typing Predicate and hitting enter. Then I selected the ANYSYNTAX element and hit delete and got the same crash.

 

What seems odd now selecting Predicate, is that I don't recall a blue surrounding box appearing. It does now, but I don't recall it before, though perhaps it did appear.

 

So try this.

 

  Create the search as above.

  Double click on Predicate in one of the elements and delete that text and click somewhere else so it takes the modification.

  You will now have an ANYSYNTAX element with no other qualification.

  Double click on that element to edit

  Type in Predicate and hit enter.

  Now select the element again

  Hit delete.

 

  This for me at least, gets the same crash.
