miketisdell
If I want to take a version like ESV with Strong's and get a list of all of the Hebrew words used to translate a specific word in English, how do I do that?
Λύχνις Δαν
Hi Mike, Just open ESVS in a tab. Search for a word, eg. God Open the Analysis tab and it should show you the corresponding Hebrew and Greek words, depending upon the key numbers. Make sure to check the Show Key Numbers item in the Anaylsis tab pull down menu or you won't get the mapping to the OL words. Thx D

I kept trying to figure out how I was going to link it to the Hebrew text.
Rick Bennett
Note that the Strong's tagging is not designed to exactly replicate how every word is translated (whether from English > Greek / Hebrew or vice versa). If you want something more precise, I would use the NIV11-GKE. In this case the goal was to represent every word in the translation and original language by some tag, whether it be within a phrase, or "Not Directly Translated (NDT)".
