ct253
When I open a PDF (specifically, through ATLA religion database, if it matters) in the web browser, I highlight the text I would like to save—and it does not save the right thing to the stacks. It saves the Page Title (e.g., "The Bible's #MeToo stories: ABUSE AND ABUSERS IN SCRIPTURE: EBSCOhost") on the top line. Next to the brownish speech bubble, it has a link to the URL. The content that I highlighted in the PDF itself does not get added to the stack at all. In an absolutely perfect world, the entry in the stack would have the quoted text, the name of the article (perhaps from the Page Title), and the URL as a link to return to it. Just personally, the main reason I would use the web browser would be for PDFs of academic articles, to be able to add that material to the Stacks, so if PDFs aren't working well, then I won't get much out of the Web Browser. Thanks! P.S. Could we get a bookmarks bar/menu in the web browser?
