Clint Cozier
I've attached a screen shot of a typical workspace for me. My user notes are in a zone by themselves, with the text from which I'm working in a different zone with one other pane open in the zone. When I want to add or edit a user note and the text zone is active, the shortcut key (Command U) not only brings up the notes in an editor, but opens the notes in a pane in the text zone between Greek Text and the ESV. I seldom (never) want that pane created. The only way I've found to avoid that is move the focus to the Notes Zone, the start editing. Am I missing something obvious? DoosanMan
Try unchecking Preferences -> User Files -> "Open parallel pane when editing" Thank you! I've had the exact same problem. Edited June 10, 2018 by DoosanMan
DoosanMan
Try unchecking Preferences -> User Files -> "Open parallel pane when editing" Like I posted last evening I have had the same question as @Clint Cozier. However now when I uncheck in preferences "Open parallel pane when editing" the edit window does not close when I click "update". It did before. Is there something else I need to change so the edit window closes when I click "update"?
