8.0.1 maps keyboard commands

The 3D map's response to the keyboard commands is very jerky, no way near as smooth as using the old controls.

 

Also, can the shift-keys be reversed?

 

i.e. shift-left arrow to shift-right arrow, and vice versa, shift-up arrow to shift-down arrow, and vice versa.
