Alistair
When I click on "Map" from the resource palette, I get an error message: An attempt to read or save data beyond the end of the file "Colors" has failed. I click on OK and I get nothing. This is in spite of having selected satellite as my preferred background. If I click and hold then select anything other than "Colors" it works properly. It seems that the file "Colors" has somehow become corrupted, but as it is (I assume) a read-only file it is hard to imagine how this could have happened. Still, I would rather have a one-click map button, with "Colors".
Helen Brown
I think it is more likely that one of the settings files in your user/Library/Preferences/Accordance Preferences got corrupted. I suspect General but it could be Maps. Try removing one temporarily to see what happens.
Alistair
I fixed it by replacing "Colors" with the original file from the installer CD, which I think supports my theory about the file becoming corrupted, rather than the preferences. I used to get the same "An attempt to read or save data beyond the end of the file
