Rick Ausdahl
In December of last year, I became a customer and also set up one of my sisters as a customer. I then purchased about $800.00 worth of initial packages/resources for the two of us, with the intention of adding resources assuming a positive experience with the software. The software definitely has some nice features, but on the Windows version there are a couple of issues that have been show-stoppers for me in regard to making additional resource purchases. One has to do with Font sizes not displaying properly. The other has to do with viewing images. I documented the issues in two forum threads. The URLs are listed below. https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/20403-accordance-12-font-size-problem-on-4k-display/ https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/20402-improve-process-to-view-maps-charts-photos-within-tool-resources/ While not a show-stopper, there was also a third issue which I noted in a separate topic in which the up/down arrow keys do not scroll text within a window according to the standard Windows use of the up/down arrow keys. The URL for that thread is: https://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/20474-use-arrow-keys-to-scroll-up-and-down-in-active-window/ I've stopped using the software and I don't want to invest any more money in resources for Accordance unless at the very least, the two show-stopper items are resolved. I also hope the issue with the up/down arrow keys would be addressed to conform to standard Windows use of the keys, but that's not a show-stopper for me. Can someone from OakTree say whether or not there are plans to address the two show-stopper issues? Thanks!
Orly Margolis
Rick, Thank you for the thorough reports. Font sizes have been off for too long and the fix for that is now in beta testing. Would you like to be a beta tester? You seem to explain the problems very well - which helps in reproducing and fixing them. We are working to have full screen picture option - this will come in version 12.2. As far as the arrow keys are concerns, that's the way we designed it. Only if the focus (the cursor) is in the content area (i.e. on Bible verse or any module text), scrolling with the keyboard is as you would see in any word processor. But, if the focus is in the search field or the 'goto' field (on the bottom), the arrows reflect the text typed in these field. For this reason, we added the Ctrl+Up/Down. Note, that when you press Ctrl+Down when the cursor is NOT on a bible verse, the scroll will be one verse at a time, in other content it will be one article at a time. I hope that you will decide to be a beta tester and resume your work with Accordance.

Also thanks for your comment on the arrow keys issue. I'd like to speak with you about it to make sure I'm tracking with you, but that can wait until the beta testing is done. I have several things on my plate the next few weeks so I may not see and/or be able to respond to communications as quickly as I would like, so please don't think I've lost interest in the testing if I'm a little slow in responding.
jarcher
I would VERY much love a fix for the 4k font size issue soon. Having to adjust the fonts on every single pane every time I open something is pretty frustrating.

I've also been watching closely for a fix to the image viewing problem (the second show-stopper issue noted in my original post), but haven't seen a fix for that yet. Do you have any info regarding progress on a fix for that problem? Thanks! Edited August 21, 2017 by Rick Ausdahl

Rick Ausdahl
I want to say "Thank You" to OakTree in general and to Orly in particular for all the progress/improvements made to resolve the issues described in this thread when using Accordance on a computer with a 4K screen. Ninety percent of the issues noted (including ALL the show-stopper issues) have been resolved with the production release of version 12.2.4. Additionally, a display issue discovered later when accessing anything WEB related from within Accordance (e.g. Accordance Help, Accordance Blog, Podcast, etc.) has also been resolved. For the first time since my original Accordance related purchases in December of 2016, I feel I have a fully working Bible app when using Accordance with a 4K screen.
