jana
May be you are interested in the digital version of the Utrecht Psalter. Recently it has been added to the Memory of the World Register of the Unesco. Its dates from the Carolingian time. It has not the colours and gold as in the Book of Kells, but the drawings are very lively. You can find it here:http://www.utrechtpsalter.nl It is in English too. Below you will see the link to the digital edition. There you can choose a translation and when you click on the underlined text a link to the drawing will appear. The book will be exhibited for a while in Museum Catherijneconvent in Utrecht. Jan Aukes Amsterdam Edited October 19, 2015 by jana
