Jordan Gowing
I have had numerous issues with Dropbox syncing. Every time that I download a new update of the app, I re-enable the syncing only to have my app crash and refuse to open again. After resetting all of the needed files, I disable it until the next update, and the same thing happens. I eventually stopped using Dropbox syncing because the old iOS app was too clunky to use. With the release of 2.0 this week however, I re-enabled Dropbox syncing... only to have the app crash again. Am I the only one consistently having this problem? Is there any plan to address this issue? Dropbox syncing isn't helpful if the app won't work at all. Should I submit my highlights and other files to someone so they can look at them? Sorry for the slight frustration in my tone, but this has been happening for far too long in spite of Accordance saying everything works fine. Thank you. Ryan Mudge
Hi Jordan, I do apologize for your frustration with Dropbox syncing. Just to clarify, is Dropbox syncing causing just the iOS app to crash or also Accordance on your Mac? It does sound like you have some corrupt user files. You can certainly make a copy of your Accordance Files folder and then send it to us at support@accordancebible.com. We will test them to see if we can find the issue. jeremyduncan
I've never been able to get Dropbox syncing working reliably. I was considering trying it with the new iOS 2.0 app. Please post if you're able to get to working.
rcdeacon
In the past I have had my fair share of Dropbox sync problems but I must say that it has been a rather long time since I have had any problems with it. I wish I could be of more help. What is the reliability issue, does it corrupt files or simply won't sync all of your files?
Jordan Gowing
Ryan, thanks for the response. I haven't been able to get to the iOS app yet. Every time I attempt to sync to Dropbox on the Mac, I the app crashes, whether that is automatic syncing or manual syncing. I sent my highlighting file to the address you gave above; I look forward to getting this issue resolved. Thank you for your help.
Larry Wing
I'm not sure this is related, but I had the same thing happen in Windows version. It was caused by a user notes file. I sent the file to tech support and they replied back the problem would be fixed in the next update, which hasn't been released yet. My workaround was to move the files off my Dropbox folder so there wasn't anything there and then re-sync in Accordance. I haven't had trouble since then. Other than the above problem I've not had any issues with Dropbox on either my Windows, Mac, or iOS installs. I have Dropbox set to manually sync, if that makes a difference. Jordan Gowing
Jeremy, Ryan and the team were fantastic help (as I knew they would be). If you are having issues, I would suggest emailing their support team directly, as this may not be the most helpful way to isolate your problem (as I discovered). Dropbox sync is now working for me. Thanks again, Accordance team.
