Dieudonne
I am reading through the Psalms in the LXX and Biblia Hebraica on my Accordance. On Psalm 13 the Biblia Hebraica does not have verse six, but the Hebrew Bible (BHS) does. I'd like to compare the "Hebrew Bible (BHS)" and "Biblia Hebraica" to see which other verses are missing from the Biblia Hebraica, but I do not remember how to go about this. Your help will be greatly appreciated
Helen Brown
I think you mean Psalm 12 in LXX (13 in BHS). Both Hebrew texts have the same verses so I don't know how you are viewing them. In LXX and in English translations the last verse of this psalm is split into two verses, and this is why verse 6 in LXX and English seems to be missing in BHS. The text is actually there in the previous verse. Accordance is correctly handling a quite tricky verse alignment: different chapter numbers between LXX and Hebrew/English, different verse numbers because the title is verse 0 in English, verse 1 in LXX/BHS, plus a split verse at the end! I am sure that there are no verse differences between HMT-W4 and BHS-T. However if you want to check for extra verses you can use the CONTENTS command. Display one text in one tab, the other text in another tab, and in the third tab search the text with more verses with this command: [CONTENTS KJV with Strong’s] [CONTENTS NIV (2011) with Enhanced G/K Numbers]
Dieudonne
Thanks Dr. Brown. I conducted the search and there were no verses missing. However, when I put the texts in parallel, I still do not see verse six. See attached images.
Helen Brown
You are using the BHS-W4 there instead of the newer free update HMT-W4. For some reason the verse tables don't match in this verse with that version, but I suggest removing it from your Library.

Helen Brown
Actually another user has now brought this to my attention, and there is a discrepancy in the way that the HMT-W4 and the LXX are indicating the missing/merged verse, which is causing this display issue. We will look into it and fix it soon.
