Is it possible to have a default search text and also a default devotional text independent of each other?

I was wondering (and this isn't a huge thing but it would be nice) is it possible to have my default studying, searching bible be different from my daily devotional bible?

I like studying in the ESV, NASB, and such but for general devotional reading, I like the NLT. I know I can just change it before I start reading my devotional but it would be nice to be able to preset it.

Is this possible and I missed it?

The devotionals are just tools. Each tool has a Set Tool Display. There you can configure a text and an alternate text and save these as defaults for that tool.

The basic search text can be configured in the Search tabs preference pane. It controls the text opened in each new search tab by default when a new workspace is opened.

Is that enough to get what you need ?

thx

Yes, that's EXACTLY what I needed! I'm sorry to be a pest but I'm just getting used to the way Accordance does things; I've been with another piece of software for many years and unlearning things takes me some time.

I appreciate the help.

No problem. A couple of suggestions though to get you up to speed.

There are numerous podcasts and there is voluminous documentation. I've downloaded and watched dozens of podcasts on various aspects. There is a recommended list for those new to Acc on the website : http://www.accordancebible.com/Podcasts-Recommended/and there are many others : http://www.accordancebible.com/Podcasts-Index.

The documentation is installed with the product and also available online :http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSX11/Default.htm

I'm not saying don't ask questions but these things really helped me get booted up with Acc.

Thx

Lol...I'm embarrassed to say that that's been ALL I've been doing for a week and a half! :)

They ARE helpful; you should see the list of questions that I WAS going to ask but now don't have to!
