Brett
Is that possible?
Ken Simpson
Hi, my understanding is that waw-conversive is simply a different name for waw-consecutive (ie the waw reverses the normal tense of the verb). If this is correct then the search: [RANGE {insert book name here}] <AND> [VERB waw-consecutive] should find your pesky critters....

Could you go a little more step by step on that? I'm thinking I need to define a new range. Edited August 2, 2013 by Brett
Ken Simpson
Hi Brett, sure - here we go. There's no need to set up a range, though you can if you want. The quick way is to do it like this. Open accordance and make sure you have a tagged Hebrew text open (I have HMT-W4 here (green box), you could also have BHS-T or the older BHS-W4) Make sure it is in "Word" mode (see the red arrow) Then, as in the picture, select SEARCH menu => ENTER TAG => VERB Click on the Aspect drop down (green box) and select "Waw-consecutive" (red arrow) you will see that Accordance puts in the search term in the search entry box at the right hand end of the box. Then select SEARCH menu => ENTER COMMAND=> AND - or press CMD-SHIFT-A and accordance will put in the logical command AND for you, properly formatted. Then select SEARCH menu =>: ENTER COMMAND => RANGE - or press CMD-SHIFT-R Accordance will enter the properly formatted range command, and the cursor will be on the ? ready for you to enter a range (red arrow) I have added in Isaiah 1-24 then press return, and you will see all of the waw-consecutives highlit red as hits (in this case there are 78 such verbs in 53 verses (see the green boxes) You can also see which verbs appear in this range in the waw-consecutive by doing an analysis - the small bar chart icon (red box) then select Word Count Analysis => Analysis from the drop down and you will see a list of all the lemmas of the verbs in the range that are in the waw-consecutive with a count of how many times they appear. Hope that helps. Please ask if anything isn't clear. Edited August 2, 2013 by Ken Simpson

Ken Simpson
No worries Brett. Very glad to help. I assume from the lack of another question that it is what you were after...
