downloading file

Hello I have purchased free of charge the Barnes commentary along with Smiths dictionary .

I cannot install either.

I have as requested changed browser , and logged in and out multiple times, yet to no avail. The message I am getting is as follows

 

c:\ProgramData\Accordance\Modules\Tools\Barnes'Notes(OT).atool it says the file is locked

Are you using Easy Install within Accordance?  I ask because I'm unclear why changing a browser would make a difference if you are.

 

precisely where/when are you getting the error message that it says the file is locked?

 

Can you provide some screen shots?

 

I have some ideas of what you could try, but I want to be sure I'm understanding correctly what is happening before I make suggestions.

Hello , yes I am using easy install, and I changed browser on the suggestion of an email from Accordance.

Here is what I suggest, but keep in mind that I'm not all that familiar with Windows, nor am I Accordance tech support.  If it were me, though, I would try the following:

 

Quit Accordance

In Windows Explorer/Folder Explorer (that file icon to the right of Chrome), navigate to the location mentioned in the error message, and delete the file

Open Accordance in Safe Mode by holding down the Alt key while starting Accordance

Checking "clear cached downloads" then clicking "Launch Accordance"

Quit and restart Accordance again

Try Easy Install again
