Biblical Language Speech Workaround For Ventura Users (Not Sonoma)

I'm posting these instructions here for our macOS Ventura users who might have issues with using Biblical Languages on Speech to make it easier to find without having to email support. In Sonoma Apple made changes which stopped this feature from working at all.

Our programmers hope to get this corrected again in the future, but we don't have a specific ETA on the fix yet.

As a ’work around’ for now in Ventura, we have learned that you can go into the System Settings > Accessibility and change the system speech language to Greek or Hebrew and then it works.

The Greek and Hebrew voices are available in the 'System Settings' > 'Accessibility' > 'Spoken Content' > 'System Speech Language'. If you change the 'System Speech Language' to Greek, then the Greek Speech will work inside Accordance. If you change it to Hebrew then the Hebrew Speech will work inside Accordance.

The Greek or Hebrew have to be selected inside the Accordance Preferences > Speech also.
