Brian Phillips Posted August 10, 2023 Share Posted August 10, 2023 I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong or what I haven't taken into account(?) 381 hits in the BHS (MT-ETCBC) for ירא, but merging that in MT-LXX shows 400 hits. If I understand correctly, BHS is showing all inflected forms of ירא, and the merge command in MT-LXX should just pull in all the results from the BHS tab? 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
A. Smith Posted August 10, 2023 Share Posted August 10, 2023 I can't say for sure, but I note that if I change the search field to Hebrew (rather than Entry) the hits drop to 398. This leads me to think it's an issue of the nature of the search. I'm also fairly sure that Tov used a different Hebrew text for this tool, which may explain some of the differences. Finally, I imagine that the increased results in the parallel may also appear because of the listing of Hebrew variants and/or reconstructions.
