Dan12
Is there a way to search for several words which are not in the same Verse?
mbcvida
do a search for both words (using AND) and change the scope from verse to paragraph or chapter - you change the scope using the x with circle at the far right of search box

Douglas Fyfe
you can also use the within command to limit the number of words in between you think is reasonable. if I went for chapter, but one reference is verse 1 and the second is verse 50, it's going to be less helpful. within command allows you to set say 20 or 50 words allowed in between the two.
mgvh
To summarize: If using an English version, be sure to identify whether you want to search for Words (which means the exact form of the word) or Flex (which will include various forms of the word) The default scope is to search for words in a single verse. Add a Scope and choose what best matches what you want. Remember that Paragraphs are mostly modern editorial decisions. To fine tune your search while using something like a Chapter scope, use the WITHIN command. To find more than two words in the vicinity of each other, try something like this: Or, if you are looking for one specific word in the vicinity of a possible few others, use this. (Note that commas function as <OR> search) Play around with scope and the WITHIN range to get the results you need.
