gegham73
How to search a specific Hebrew verb form? I want to find all the verbs in prefix conjugation or yiqtol form that have waw with Sheva in front (called volitional form). This is not the wayiqtol form, but simple waw with Sheva added in front of a prefix conjugation/yiqtol, for example וְאַשְׁבִּיעֲךָ. Thanks, Gegham Edited January 19, 2019 by gegham73
Λύχνις Δαν
Hi Gegham, See the attached. I don't know if there are false positives here as well. I looked up the volitional stuff in a grammar as I've not got that far with Hebrew yet. One thing that struck me in Waltke/O'Connor was the distinction between Jussive form and Jussive sense. Accordance Hebrew bibles recognise a form and meaning distinction in both jussive and cohortative verb tagging. It may be useful for what you are doing and it may not. I just mention it in case. Thx D
