Outis
Hello, So, even though I have had the BHQ for a while, I've noticed that it's not a tagged text. Anyone have any suggestions as to how I might best put together a 'work-around?' If I use the BHS-T text, it's wonderfully tagged. But it doesn't have those little circles at the top of thew words (yes, indeed, I've forgotten their names). Also, what is the roadmap ahead for the BHQ? Is the focus on getting the texts first and then tagging them? or vice versa? Thanks,
Michael J. Bolesta
Concerning tagging, see Helen's comment in this thread: http://www.accordanc...ta&fromsearch=1 As for plans, the Accordance website mentions completion in 2015: http://www.accordancebible.com/store/details/?pid=BHQ It would appear that the changes in the text itself are relatively small, but the BHQ adds the various apparatuses. That is my interpretation, and the good folks at Accordance may have a different take. Edited November 9, 2012 by Michael J. Bolesta
Anon
I say this as a scholar: I would like to eventually see BHQ tagged; the acquisition of Oxford Hebrew Bible as it's released; and the development of the Hebrew University Bible Project. Yes, the tagging will be of little difference, but as software quickly becomes the standard tools of the academy (especially in programs who still place a great deal of emphasis on mastering the text), these tools are going to need to meet two criteria: ease of use for the Student (meaning tagging schemas on the text); and functionality of the software, meaning ease of searching and perspicacious presentation of the data. Michael J. Bolesta
Agree that eventual tagging would be extremely desirable.
