Jeremiah Montgomery Posted January 8 Posted January 8 Recently purchased and installed Accordance 14.0.11 on my MacBook running macOS Sequoia (15.1.1). Every time I close Accordance and reload, I get the same message: "Accordance was unable to load your last session and has started a new one." None of my preferences or reconfigurations are remembered. I am a new Accordance user, and I have no idea how to fix this.
Kristin Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi @Jeremiah Montgomery, A few things are coming to mind. First, when it crashes and you open it again it will ask if you want to restore. Say no. I noticed this often fixes issues. Second, if that doesn't work, close Accordance and hold shift while you open it. Let go of shift only once Accordance has completely opened, then shut Accordance and do this a few times. Then the last time try opening it without holding shift. This cleans things up on a Mac. Third, if that still doesn't work, I would try opening Accordance in safe mode. To do that, close Accordance and instead of shift hold down the option key, and likewise don't let go of option until Accordance is open. Once it is, select ‘Remove Startup Session’ (from Preferences, I think. I think this is only an option in safe mode?) Anyway, after doing that, close Accordance and then re-open it normally. If all this doesn't work, I would email tech support, but I would suspect one of the three steps above to work. I hope this helps, Kristin

I can only open the default session, but not the session that I had before closing Acc. Trying to open after clearing the caches change anything. 1
Jeremiah Montgomery Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 I've tried launching while holding Shift. That didn't resolve the issue. I've also tried launching in safe mode and removing the startup session. That also didn't work.
Kristin Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Hi @Jeremiah Montgomery, I am sorry those steps didn't work. I think I would email tech support at this point and let them know what you have tried which hasn't worked. techsupport@accordancebible.com
Jeremiah Montgomery Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 I've put in an email to tech support. Will post the solution when they solve it. Thanks, all! 1
Jeremiah Montgomery Posted January 10 Author Posted January 10 Here's what Tech Support sent me: You should also be able to rebuild the workspace inside Accordance and save it and it should work after that. In the rare cases when this doesn’t work, we have been told that the workspace can be opened by setting it as a ‘Favorite Workspace’ or as a ‘Default Session' in the Accordance Preferences > General > General Settings > Startup This appears to work - at least as a workaround. I opened Accordance, set up things as I wanted them, saved the workspace as "Workspace.accord". Then I went into the Settings. set the Startup to "Favorite Workspace", and chose "Workspace."
