Keep us posted what you think about the study Bible!

I have been using this study bible for almost a month now, and I am impressed. This is the best study bible to share with a person who is involved in science, medicine, or archelogy. It does not tell you what to think but focuses on the known facts or at least facts as much as we understand today. It does not leave you there, but mini articles show different interpretations over time as well as review how different folks use the Bible to justify their actions. So the Bible is suitable for sharing with a friend, both for evangelism or for Christian growth; I bought several copies and gave them to friends; about a week later, ALL OF THEM SAID “WoW.” They are folks who already have the ESV Study Bible and The Biblical Theology Study Bible. They are going to buy some for their friends.

While there are other “faith neutral” Study Bibles, such as the New Interpreter’s Study Bible, The Oxford Annotated Study Bible, The Harper Collins Study Bible, and the SBL Study Bible, none come close to this Study bible in terms of depth and clarity. It is designed to address students of the Bible from all walks of life but focuses on people who are curious and willing to take the time to study the Bible seriously. (I am a layperson with science and engineering degrees). I suppose the closest to this study bible is the SBL Study, but the quality of the paper in that bible is well below par. The next closest one is the New Interpreter’s Study Bible, but some of the notes are dated, meaning there is no coverage of issues today,

I have only two complaints:

There is no electronic version available. I have limited vision in one eye and NO vision in the other. Having it available in a program like Accordance will greatly help me since I can make the font sizes larger.

While there are some illustrative diagrams, none of them are in color.

I just looked through the sampler. I would absolutely buy this study Bible in Accordance!

pre order it on another platform. Accordance will do a poll that will never reach 50 people and you will have it in the other software before accordance even considers developing it. Sorry to sound so pessimistic but it’s how I’m feeling about things today.

In the uk there is a kindle version so I assume its available in other countries. (But kindle formatting isnt very good with poor navigation from notes to text but you can make the font big!)
