Accordance does not save the toolbar after it has been customized. What am I missing?

It should dave your settings when you click Done after making your changes.

I can confirm that the toolbar isn't saved (Accordance 14.0.10, Windows 11).

1. Open new workspace.

2. In new workspace, add a widget to the menu bar. Confirm that the menu bar has changed.

3. Save the new workspace.

4. Close Accordance.

5. Open the new workspace by double-clicking the .accord file. Menu bar has reverted to the standard menu bar; changes lost.

Thanks for this. I have been able to reproduce this on Accordance 14.0.10 on Windows 11.

I also cannot right-click on my toolbar and get to Customize Toolbar anymore.

I will get this filed as a Bug Report. I have moved your thread under Bug Reports so we can track it.

Hey guys, sorry I didn’t chime in sooner.

Try this:

  1. Open a saved workspace.
  2. Customize the toolbar to your liking.
  3. Go to File and select 'Save As,' then replace it with the current workspace.
  4. Close and reopen Accordance.

Note: If the 'Save As' option is not available, make a slight change to the workspace, then select 'Save As.'

A little bug, sure, but an easy workaround. I can assure you this works on Mac, and hopefully, you can confirm it works on Windows for anyone else who encounters this bug.

Thanks!

Our teams are having issues reproducing this one. @Lawrence Can you email Tech Support about this issue, and also include your Windows Build version?

I'm going to personally run some additional tests tonight and send them my Windows Build Version.

I just tried the workaround, and it's not working on my Windows PC at all. Last time I tried it on my Mac, it did though for sure.

I'm chatting with Tech Support myself to try to get somewhere on this, and I'd recommend anyone else having the issue to definitely email in as well.

The good news is my customize toolbar is finally appearing when I right-click it, but the other issue is occurring.

I can capture the issue in the Accordance Session Debug Log.

I can reproduce this, but the office can't. I even tried resetting my toolbar preferences through the registry, and I can still reproduce the issue.

I have some other debugging tools on my Windows PC, so I've offered to have our programmers remote into my Windows PC when they get around to looking into this issue and see if that'll help them pinpoint where the issue is.

Good to know. Thanks! So I guess it is isolated to certain machines.
